Our presence

Barclays has been an integral part of Botswana’s heritage and development since 1950. And with the new millennia well under way we’ve set our sights on remaining the leading bank in Botswana.  We’re also recognised throughout the country for offering our employees a unique training development programme; that equips each of our people with a world class skill set.

The work we do

We currently have the largest market share in retail banking, both by balance sheet growth and customer numbers. Geographically our reach extends further across the country, than any of our competitors. And as a result we’ve seen continued growth in customer assets and liabilities at competitive rates to the customer.

Investment in the Community

As well as offering the people within our walls a once in a lifetime career opportunity, we also play our part in Barclays Africa’s Junior Achievement programme.  In 2010 we hosted a B-Innovation Camp for over 100 students, a number of which went on to represent local companies in an international competition. It was celebrations all round when they went on to be awarded second place in the Company of the Year category.
